What and where is Lake Chapala?
Lake Chapala is Mexico’s largest natural lake, and is located south of Guadalajara. The lake is approximately 55 miles long from east to west, with a width of 12 to 15 miles. Surrounded by mountain ranges, Lake Chapala enjoys a micro climate that attracts a large foreign population and national Mexicans from Guadalajara – all of us enjoying this special piece of paradise.
