Karina Gutiérrez Torres was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, and raised in the vibrant lakeside communities of Ajijic and San Antonio Tlayacapan—places that ignited her love for art, nature, and community. She discovered her passion for painting at a young age through the children’s art workshop at the Lake Chapala Society, where she exhibited her work in group shows for several years. This early immersion in an artistic and supportive environment laid the foundation for her creative journey.
Karina graduated as an Engineer in Digital Animation and Visual Effects from TECMM Chapala, and has since worked in design and marketing, where she skillfully merges creativity with technology. Deeply inspired by the natural beauty of the Lake Chapala area, she brings a thoughtful, artistic eye to every project she undertakes.
A lover of cats, sunsets, hiking, and video games, Karina is known for her calm, imaginative spirit and her deep respect for the environment and community that shaped her. Her favorite color—turquoise blue—beautifully reflects the harmony between her peaceful nature and bold creativity.
