Improvements on the South Wing
There are two suites being built with kitchen, bathroom, laundry and living area. You can see each room as it is finished.
The outside is taking shape too!
We’ve repainted the doors, installed display cases for listing flyers and a mailbox to drop off keys after hours!
Now we start on the ‘South Wing’
There will be a two-storey multi-purpose building at the end of the property.
The new Kitchen
The new office furniture arrived!
Some assembly required…
A little bit of cleanup required…
They have taken many, many truckloads of debris from the backyard
The Kitchen and second set of stairs
Next to the office wall features the new kitchen and a second set of stairs to the second floor.
The last of the renos have started
The farthest building on the south end of the property is being torn down.
Tile on the second floor and some furniture
Marvin has moved into his office at the new building and the reception area chairs have been purchased. The outside has been painted and looks great!
The outside is ready to paint and the big windows are in both the outside wall and the reception area.
The main floor is almost done!
Tile floors, paint and beautiful long wood doors are installed. A view of the L-shaped office, computer room, second floor balcony and big spacious work area.
It’s all coming together beautifully!
They’ve started sculpting the big long windows on the second floor. The glass is on on the main floor. Painting is almost done on the main floor and there is lots of activity on the second floor.
Rooftop and views
We’re on top of the world!
Love the new color!
Can you say amarillo?
The second floor is coming together
Now work is being done on the walls and ceiling of the second floor. It features the same 12 foot ceilings and big, duplicate footprint of the main floor. Tilework is being done and they started painting the Reception area – very amarillo!
Our new banner announcing the new office.
CFE adjusting power lines
The power line needed to be heightened to accommodate our second floor. They shut down the street for a few hours. Sorry for the inconvenience!
More work on windows and floors
They are pouring the floor on the main level and putting finishing touches on the ceiling. The maestro does beautiful work on designing the frames for the windows.
Beautiful, long outside windows
There will be 6 exterior windows with 3 across the bottom and 3 on the second floor.
There’s a lot of cement here
The inside and outside is really taking shape
Stairway to Heaven
Our stairway to the second floor is massive! There will be plenty of good workouts
Now we can stand on the second floor
And take pictures from above
Second floor keeps marching on
These guys work really hard to get the second floor walled and ceiling done before the rainy season
Twice as much fun on the second floor!
You can see the supports and walls on the second floor now.
More roofs. More walls. More production.
These workers are true craftsmen. It is a thing of beauty!
The new Reception Area
This is the first point of contact for anyone coming into the office. It is a spacious, well thought-out area for our guests and agents.
And now for the second floor!
The second floor gives us lots of space for agents and meetings and all things real estate.
The inside is taking shape!
The roof of the inside is done and now they are digging the trench for the Reception area.
The ceiling is almost done!
Starting to get an idea of how big the space is and how much room we have. Is it enough for our ever expanding office?
How do they load bricks to the second floor?
They create beautiful brick boveda ceilings.
Inside walls and roof
Ever wonder how they bend the rebar to the exact shape and size they need?
You can see the space taking shape.
Outside wall support
Holes are being dug and wall is chipped away for the outside wall support to the second floor.
Bricks and bricks and bricks piled up to build the new roof and walls. All electrical will be installed in the floors.
New posts, new wall, new office rooms
The new posts have been poured to support the new outside office wall.
The old fireplaces were taken out of the old bedroom spaces.
We are building our own wall
The office space will be enlarged by adding 4 feet to the length of the building.
And here is Barbara in her new office space!
It’s a bit of a mess
Demolition is always messy, hauling away truckloads of debris, but making room for the construction phase.
A new door!
The outside wall was removed to make way for the new vehicle door. This will provide access to our parking area in the yard and the drive-thru key pick-up and drop-off area. Now you won’t have to find a parking spot!
Moving walls and more
The two outside walls have been knocked down and will be moved 4 feet out into the yard. They have dug a trench to pour new concrete posts to support the new walls.
More demolition progress
The kitchen is now gone and most of the roof.
Demolition is always fun
Demolition is well under way. The tree, outside walls and roof all has to go!
